Vicious guinea pigs???

Ok. So i have my piggy, Penny Lou. I was watching another guinea pig at my house, named Lola. Her and Penny Had their cages next to each other, and every thing was fine. I put them together for a little bit, and they were also fine. Yesterday, Lola tried to bite me. Like a vicious bite. Not a nibble, like when i have food on my hands. I pulled my hands away, but i was still very shocked, because Lola never bites. Neither does Penny, but then Penny did the same thing
I put them together for a little while, and the tried to attack each other. So of course i separated them. What could have brought this on to gentle guinea pigs?

Guinea pigs NEVER bite, unless provoked. So, you could have maybe rubbed her the wrong way or something... However, the fighting is most likely dominance. You shouldn't separate UNLESS there is blood shed. They need to work out who is dominant, and if you keep removing one whenever they are about to fight or are fighting, it will only get worse.Posted 08-15-09 at 08:00 am by SFailed186
