A sad let down

I was looking online today because i had found a gp that I was going to adopt off craigslist. He was very sweet looking and and had very cute markings. So I emailed the lady because I was so excited that I thought I had found Gizmo a friend. The lady emailed me back and said that I could call her to arrange to come meet her and pick the gp up. So I called and started talking to this woman and it turns out that she is a breeder. I was so upset. Not to mention that her information was posted wrong and she was almost 2 hr round trip away from where I live. I don't have a car at the moment so that kind of trip is out of the question for me. Plus I do not want to do business with a breeder. I hope all this does not make me a horrible person. Anyway, I will keep searching until I can find the right piggy to add to my family.

Maybe you could try your local animal shelter? Or look in the classifieds section of your newspaper where people advertise pets.

Where are you located in FL ? There's a few cavy rescues around the state. One is in Sarasota, one is in Palm Bay, and another in Ft. Lauderdale.
