So, next week is our school dance. 
I've been to some dances, but not enough to be called experienced. Should I go? I've been asked three times, and I really don't know what to say to those guys. I mean, if I DO go, I don't really want to go with a guy. I want to go with my friends and look at the weirdos who think they can dance. 
Anyway, anyone have advice? Should I go? If I do, with a guy or with my friends? Anyone have any paticularly funny school-dance stories they would like to share?

I say if you go, go with your friends. It sounds like that is what you want to do. No advice, dancing really isn't my thing.

I just had our school dance...It was GREAT! I went with my friends but ended up hanging out with most of my guy friends and dancing with them. You should totally go!
It's a great experience. I've gone to all three. We have one left and I can't wait!
I'd say go with your friends and you can always hang out with all one of the guys who asked you when you get there.

My advise is you should go but go with your friends! You'll have allot more fun. not sure of your age but that's what I always tell my daughter (she's 14) and I wish I would have done more of myself (being with friends)Posted 03-04-09 at 12:10 am by Oliversnana -
Thanks for all the comments. Well my mother has decided it will be a "good experience" and so I'm going. I told all the guys that I didn't want to go with a date (not sure how the mother would feel about that, anyway), but I would dance with them. Now on to what do I wear!!!! School dances are always a good experience. I remember when i was in high school, which things might be different now, that was like 6 years ago. We had an "Official" dance like 2 a year and prom. Prom was eh, but I think because it was formal, but the Homecoming dance we had was always a blast. Definitely go to the dance! Have a blast and go nuts dancing to the music. - Good I idea, GPluver1! I'll look into it. Yeah, AH31, I wish our dance wasn't semi-formal, but thats the way it is. I'm looking around at some local shops and finding some really awesome dresses that I might buy
