This is the third year this mom has been back. She learned from the last time. She had the babies in the attic. They fell. Big drama. Had to cut a hole in my wall having no clue what the heck was going on. Looooong story short, the babies ended up going to raccoon rescue because she never came back for them in time.

This time, they are on the ground floor. Behind a tub in a bathroom. I can hear them through the bathroom wall. This time I'm going to leave them alone until they get big enough for her to move them.

I decided to put this post up on my blog, because I just loved this show sooo much!!

I just spoke with a friend who had seen it as well. She said she goes to a LOT of shows and this was also BY FAR THE BEST live show she's ever been to!

Well, gang, I have to say, I'm very happy with the new forum. This upgrade came at the expense of me finding some new work, as I'm not working right now, due to a contract ending. It took me over a week of full-time effort to get this where I wanted it to be. Just last night I finished the new Google/Yahoo automatic sitemap and submissions. Over 800,000 urls are now being indexed on the search engines! Whoohoo.

And I'm soooo tired of the hits we get by a few people saying we're an unfriendly forum. It's always exaggerated, but it's time to turn that around. I think all the social functions of the forum will help. Also, I hope this recent post of mine will help set the tone that I'd like to see from the members.

There are still a few new things coming, like a list for members of all banned folks and the reason why, so that we can stop maintaining the banned members thread. It's a list you can pull automatically for yourself.

I'd like to see the social networking things pick up and take off over time.

I have a few more things planned as well.

Also, I've made some changes to the benefits for Cavy Champions and Cavy Stars, but just haven't had the energy to document them yet.

And as soon as I get some time to get some real work done and get caught up on other things, I'll be working on the main site itself, with big changes coming there--finally!

This is my first real blog. I've deleted my test entries. Well, I've been saying for probably over a year now, that the forum upgrade was just around the corner. Ha! This was a big upgrade, and I just didn't have time to do it.

I ended up hiring some technical help to do the bulk of it for me. He did a great job. And it's still taking me forever to go back and tweak some of the styles and templates just to get them back to the way they were--I'm still not done with that. And then there are all the new configuration settings for all the new features and functions.

Not to mention combing the forum's software forum for additional add-ons and functions to really make things better.

So, we're a good way there, but it's definitely not done yet. THEN, there's the main site. That's been updated, but you can't see it yet, because I have a TON of editing and tweaking to do there as well. I had to get a lot of things done in order to get my ability back to edit the site content.

Quite a while ago, I had a computer blowup, where I lost everything and I lost the ability to easily edit my site without a lot of pain. Now, it's sitting on a content management system that is going to make all the difference in the world. Lot's of new stuff coming there in the upcoming week or two.

So that's my story, and I'm sticking to it. But moving to the latest and greatest version of our forum software was long overdue. I hope to continue to provide added value and content for our readers and members.
