  1. New Cage and Boar Introductions

    I couldn't find any grid cubes in white at any of the stores near me, so I decided to go with closet shelving instead. I also have a shower curtain as a liner until I get coroplast. Total cage cost: about $18. I'm glad I went with closet shelving instead, it's sturdier and my guinea pigs don't bite the bars as much.

  2. King of the Cuddle Cup

    I finally got around to sewing my first cuddle cup and I'm pretty pleased with the outcome. Best of all, Leo loves it He is so comfortable now, I have seen him sleeping with his eyes closed for the first time.

    Also a new cage is in progress, so I can finally get him out of that pet store cage and into something bigger. In my next update I'll post pictures of the cage.

    I thought it would be nice to keep a blog about Leo. For those who don't know, I stopped by a cat and small animal rescue about a month and offered to foster any guinea pigs that needed some extra attention. I was given a nameless tri-colored, abby boar that was surrendered with two sows. I took him home and snamed him Leo, because of his "lion mane".
