Bathroom Crisis!

Right now, my bathroom is being re-done. It sounds like a good thing, but so far is horrible. The bathroom is right next to my room. Until yesterday, the only thing seperating my room and I from the bathroom was a thin strip of wood. The people gutted the bathroom. I had no privacy and I could hear everything they said and vice versa. Finally, yesterday they put up the dry wall and installtion. I am going to paint the room a light blue. Since it is kind of small I don't want to make it a dark color because when you paint a room dark it looks smaller than it really is- no joke. Everytime I want to go to my room, I have to walk through all of the equipment and get in the workers' way, so I try not to go to my room to often. I never realized how much I go to get things from my room when I'm not away. The workers are also putting in a fan since we are closing the window because it could cause more leaks. And that's just the things it's doing to me.
My girls are so scared! Some days, like two days ago, it is abosoultey noisy! I was in my room and they were taking out the bathtub (because it cracked and was leaking, the reason why I was getting a new bathroom) and I swear my room had a mini earthquake. I have three selves hanging up on my wall that's connected with the bathroom and I had to take everything down. Then when the earthquake started the things on my shelf on the ground started to come off and everything spilled everywhere! Poor Lulu and Honey freaked out (of course, if I were them, I would have too) and hide behind the fleece (which I do not like, but let them since it made my baby's feel better). They were skittish the rest of the day. I feel so sorry for them. Thankfully today there's only a little drilling (they are cutting marble outside, but we can't hear it). I wonder what it's going to be like the rest of the three weeks. I think I'm going to die!

Oh geez. I had a little bathroom problem myself but nothing compared to that. I live in an apartment with one bathroom and a year ago when I moved in my landlords promised that they would re-do the whole bathroom. Well it's not done. The previous tenant was a complete slob and I don't think he ever cleaned the shower! So I've been cleaning it here and there but not full force for fear it would collapse or something. Well I decided I would clean it really well and there were some stains I haven't been able to get out and I told my mom about it. Well when I was at work she decided to help me out when she was taking care of my pigs. She put lime-away all over my shower and scrubed the heck out of it. Needless to say the top of the shower doors crumbled and fell off. So when I got home from work this morning I didn't have much of a shower. Luckily she got me a shower curtain and decorated it a little. I had to carry the glass door, that luckily didn't break, down some stairs and under the house. But the problem for me is fixed for now, I don't have to live with it for 3 weeks though. Good luck and give your fuzzies a few extra veggies.Posted 03-21-09 at 09:13 pm by Peggysu

Oh god! I feel bad for you, and your piggers. I've never had my bathroom redone, but we remodeled our kitchen last summer. Now that was interesting-microwavable meals, a mini fridge and a microwave was about all we had. My poor mother almost went insane from washing all our dishes in the bathtub.
Good luck in the next 3 weeks!!Posted 03-22-09 at 07:35 am by dra&pigs
