I've noticed that as my pigs have grown up, one of them has gotten a lot bigger and heavier than the other- and I do notice he's the glutton of the pair, always first at the food bowl at feeding time. How can I tell if he's just got a different metabolism or body type, or if he's got a real overeating problem?

If he is overeating, how do I limit his portions without starving his cagemate? I've thought about holding him while the other eats; has anyone else tried this?

Or could it be that he needs more exercize? How can I encourage that?

Daily exercise should be given anyway, whether it be half an hour in a pen on the floor, or a full few hours running around a pig-proofed room.

Some pigs are just bigger than others - it's just the way they are. How much does your pig weigh? Does he stop the other pig eating?
