So, I've got two guinea pigs. Both male, age unknown. Harry's the more confident of the pair. Ron, however, is the shyest and
probably the most nervous piggy I've owned so far. He's getting a bit more confident in the cage, but still ducks and runs for cover if anything scares him. That's fine. It's what he does if something scares him outside the cage that worries me.
Gwen and Treenie have been getting along so well! I had to sell Carmelle and Penelope though, I couldn't have all 4 of them and give them the attention they needed. I couldn't have asked for a better home too! I think the lady who bought them was maybe a past member of this site. She had guinea pigs as an adult and had them pretty much all her life. She has 5 kids and the oldest I believe is 12. They were all so nice, the little girl Claire who really wanted them had to give me and my mom hugs for
I am just sooo proud right now.
Enja jumps over little obstacles for a while now and really likes that
Still it took a lot of patience until she understood that I wanted her to jump over my arm (while my fingers smelt soo good, she couldnīt help checking and double-checking I didnīt had treats hidden there). But she learned that, too. So time for the next step.
Jumpng over a cucumber.
A lot weirder than jumping over my arm, this
I recently got a sewing machine, and I thought I would make the boys a snuggle sack! Its been a while since I sewed, and the machine was my grandmother's so its older then I'm used to. After some fiddling around, and getting my bearings again I managed to produce a snuggle sack, that in my opinion looked pretty darn good..considering .
All excited I went into the pig room and showed them the snuggle sack. They were terrified! It was like I had brought in some strange large mouthed
I was asked a few days ago: "Why guinea pigs? Why not gerbils or fish?"
This right here is why:
They have so much personality.
