If you sew a shower curtain onto fleece and towels, you won't be able to wash it. Even if it's a washable type plastic, I think the middle layer will not be throughly cleaned.

Thanks for the layering advice Ly&Pigs! I went to my local thrift store over the weekend and found some great thick towels and mattress pads for $1-3 dollars a piece, washed them, then sewed them into layers as fleece-mattress pad-towel and put it over a layer of brown grocery bags. It makes cage clean up & set-up so much easier to just pull up/lay down one big layer! Previously I had been using shredded paper-fleece-generic shamwow towels-baking soda-layer of brown paper grocery bags, and it took forever to clean and set up! As a test for this week, I didn't put any baking soda, since I want to see how much the new layers cut down on odor. Thanks again!
