Not Ranked. Helpful AND tactful post? : 0 I am building a new C&C cage for my little girl, Fillette and a neutered boy we will be adopting soon. Will the guinea pigs' poop and pee soak through the carefresh bedding we use and ruin the coroplast? i change the cage once a week with small cleaning jobs like scooping some bad bedding and replacing it throughout the week. Will it be enough? Will the coroplast get flimsy and stink? Should I use something different or will the carefresh bedding be fine? thank you |

Carefresh is fine. Coroplast is plastic and waterproof. It will not get flimsy if it gets wet. Just fill a spray bottle with 50% vinegar 50% water and spray down the cage when you clean. Wipe it with a paper towel. If there are any stubborn white spots, you can let full strength vinegar sit on them for a few minutes and then wipe it off. If you're looking for a cheaper bedding, you might want to read up on fleece. Carefresh can get expensive in large cages. |
