I was just wondering if you could list some stores that sell cheap fleece. I'm looking for cheap fleece that will cover a 12 sq ft cage plus a bent grid ramp. I'm kind of clueless on this part of building the C&C cage |

Try this cite Fleece I think the fleece is really cheap by the yard also as an alternative if you have dollar tree store you can buy some of the $1.00 baby blankets and sew them together to fit your cage, 1 baby blanket covers a 2x2 grid area so a 2x4 grid cage would be 2 fleece baby blankets. |

Sorry Paula. So if I also need some to get some for the loft too. The loft's about 1 foot long. So that's 13 sq feet plus a bent upward grid ramp. Maybe 13 1/2 sq ft or 14 sq ft. |

You typically by fleece by the yard, not per square foot. |

Oh, I know that. I was trying to figure out how many yards I would need for a 14 sq foot cage(12 sq ft cage, 3 square foot loft[1 foot] and like a 3 square ft length ramp). |

You will need about 5 yards of fleece for 2 sets of bedding for your cage. That is to cover floor, ramp, and loft area. |

anybody with experience on using polar fleece and buying from corinthianmills? I've read here antipilll is the best but corinthian doesn't offer that so I hope polar works just as well. |

Sorry for double-posting and kind of hi-jacking this thread but I'm just having trouble trying to decide exactly what go get. I plan on ordering from the corinthianmills website but want to make sure I don't get it short or long. After doing some searching here on the boards, a 2x4 cage (what I have -56x28") would come out to about 1.33yards, approximately. Now, when looking at the details of the fleece on that website, it lists the dimensions as,"[FONT=arial, helvetica][SIZE=2] 60" wide " and some as," 58/60"wide " now that seems like more than enough to cover my cage and even overlap if I wanted. I would prefer to hang the extra fleece on the top of the coroplast so my piggies don't try to go underneath it though so I'll probably do that instead. Someone mentioned that the website sells by the yard though so now i'm confused. Am I understanding the dimensions correctly? I just want to get my piggies on some fleece because I hate seeing them play in pee soaked spots! I try to clean the towels regularly but would love the help of fleece for time constraints. I'm a domestic failure in case you didn't notice |

They do sell it in yards the 58/60 is the with meaning that 1 yard would be 36 inches by 58/60 inches so 1 yard would cover a 2x4 so get 2 yards have 2 sets of bedding. And Polar fleece is fine. |

Thanks for the information! Unfortunately, shipping brought the price up to $18 so I'll have to find a local fabric store to see if I can get a better deal. Anybody in houston know of a good place to find some fleece fabric? I'm having a hard time for such a big city. Joann's is to far for me plus their online reviews of their plain antipill fleece is not so good. Walmart is also a long distance but I may consider going down there since it's my last option, not sure if they have a fabric section though. |

I have a really silly question .What is fleece? Here in Ireland it's like an item of clothing. Do you not use wood shavings and straw on the floor of your piggie cages? |

I live in U.S and I didn't even know fleece existed until I joined this forum. We usually use like Carefresh and other bedding like that in like kitchen areas in our cages. Sometimes fleece can be made for clothing. I've seen pictures like on Joann Fabric's website that made like fleece jackets for winter. I know some people do use hay on the floor in their cage but not very often. |

Fleece here is about 4.00 to 20.00 per yard so it gets pretty expensive here. I know my piggies don't like eating in a toilet even though they poop in their food bowls when their done eating |
