Not Ranked. Helpful AND tactful post? : 0 Ok. I have finally decided on what bedding to use. Ive decided to use a one layer of fleece, one layer of towel and a mattress pad at the bottom. Does this sound ok to you guys? Would it be worth sewing the lot together or would it make it more difficult to wash? The mattress pad im getting has a waterproof pvc lining on the bottom side. Also i'm really confused as to how you guys place your bedding into your cage, and keep it flat, and stop your piggys from going underneath it. Do you roll it over the coroplast? Or do you make it to fit the bottom floor of the cage? How do you secure it? Thanks loads |

I don't sew mine together. I put smallbrocks in 3 of the corners and there is a litter box in the other corner. That works for me but if you piggins like to go under the leece you might need to do something different. |

I just use towels and fleece. I'm not sure how to do the matress pad thing as I don't use those. I would use it and see how it works and if you like it then sew it all if that is what would work best for you. I lay my towels out and then tuck my fleece under the towels. My piggies don't burrow so I don't have to worry about that. Sometimes it's a little trial and error. You'll figure it out and once you do you'll love it. With the fleece make sure you wash it three times before use. |

I use Fleece, towels, and matress pads, Towels and matress pad or cut to bottom of cage and the Fleece is cut about 1-2 inches bigger all the way around and everything is sewn together to make a cage mattress make cleaning easy to since it is all one peice all I have to do is the daily poo sweeps 2x a day and once a week take it out sit it outside go back in wash the cage down and all hideys and everything put a new pad down, replace hideys and toys. Then go outside shake, sweep, shake, and through in the washer and dryer and fold put away for the next week. I have made some with just the Mattress pads and found that the mattress pad absorbs just as much as the ones made with the towel too. |

I use the same...mattress pad and towels then fleece...I lay it all flat and put a few bricks down. My fleece is just wide enough that I binder clip it to the sides of the coroplast. At the ends that do not have fleece going up the sides I have a brick and the other end has thier hay and bricks under the water bottles. |
