Not Ranked. Helpful AND tactful post? : 0
hi, im new so please forgive any mistakes i make ![]() ive just recently changed bedding from sawdust to fleece and although im happy with it there is one or 2 issues i could use a hand with. the main one would be the dampness. its no soaking and the water does not sit on the top but ive noticed that when my pigs sit in the same spot of there cage the fleece takes a while to dry and im worried that my pigs are getting damp. i have towels, paper and puppy pads underneath but on the spot they sit in stay dam longer, is this normal and should i change the towels every day like ive been doing? also i was worried any smells that could arise from using fleece, does this happen? ive noticed it on one occasion but not to much. does any one have tips for using fleece as im determined to stick with it |

Not Ranked. Helpful AND tactful post? : 0 I also need help with this. I am a new fleece user and I am finding where they eat (and pee) it is very damp. As mentioned above there is not a puddle or anything like that but if you press your finger on the fleece (or just touch it) it is very damp. We have towels underneath and I have followed all of the pre washing instructions for the fleece....what else can I do?!?!?! I don't want them to have to sit in their pee and I don't want to have to do laundry every night if I can help it.....HELP! |

What type of fleece are you using? Did you wash it a few times prior to using it? |

How big are your cages, and how many pigs do you have? Are you using more than one layer of fleece (you should only use one)? How do you wash it? If you have a large enough cage and are using the fleece properly, try moving hideys around so that the pigs don't sit in the same spot. |
