Not Ranked. Helpful AND tactful post? : 0 My mom doesn't want fleece in my pigs' cages. Here's why: 1. it's not absorbant. 2. it stinks. Any of you guys want to help me change her mind? Can you say why fleece doesn't stink and that it is absorbant? Thanks. |

Well fleece is not absorbent and thats the reason to use it. You need something absorbent underneath, like towels. As long as you have an absorbent under bedding then it shouldn't stink. Did you make a previous post about using newspaper? Doesn't that smell? Fleece shouldn't smell as long as its spot cleaned everyday. |

Read the fleece project sticky. Once you understand how fleece works, it will make more sense. It needs to be used with the proper underbedding and must be prepped for use first by washing. Otherwise it won't work. |

do you have a big cage? if so it can cost quite a bit to be constantly buying bags of bedding to fill the cage, That's one of the reasons why I am switching to fleece |
