Carefresh?

I think my guinea pig is eating some of the carefresh in her litter box. Is this a health hazzard?

Re: Carefresh?

If she is eating a lot of it yes, but a few nibbles here and there shouldn't cause too much of a problem. Usually (not all the time) they will only do this if they are bored. Do you have unlimited hay for her to eat and a proper size cage for her to exercise in, and also consider adopting a companion for her to play with too.

Re: Carefresh?

My idiot pig Jackie enjoys a delicious piece of dirty carefresh now and then.

I think she is just nibbling on a few pieces when I replace it. Once it is dirty, she leaves it alone and resorts to her toys and food!
