On average how much does fleece cost a yard?

I don't use fleece (yet) so I'm not sure..but I've heard from many people Wal-Mart has really cheap fleece.

You can get really good deals if you shop around. Walmart has most of it for $7.84 a yard I think, but I've also gotten some at JoAnn's on sale for $3.99 or $4.99 a yard.

I would say if you see fleece for under $4/yard, buy it, it's a great deal. I pay anywhere between $4 and $7.50. I went into the fabric store in the summer and all the fleece was $9.99 a yard. I turned around and walked out. It is not too hard to find fleece on sale.

I once got dollar fleece at target! It was just plain ugly pink and didn't hide poops very well but it did the job. Just constant spot cleaning! I go to walmart. I got my fleece for like 10.00. I got I think a yard and a half? I don't know.

Well i went to Joanns fabric store and got one yard off of the clearence rack!I think on my two sets of cage fleece i spent about $8!

Right now at my walmart they have some fleece on sale for $4.44 a yard

Plain fleece is usually between $3-$5 a yard. Printed fleece with patterns and characters, etc, will usually run between $6-$13 depending on how elaborate the pattern is.

I got lucky today and happened to find some fleece for 75% off. I paid $2.49 for 1.5 yards of it! It's not my favorite print, but at that price who cares? Just keep an eye out for when fabric stores have sales. Oftentimes, JoAnn's Fabric & Hobby Lobby will have a 50% off promotion. My local Wal-Mart is discontinuing their fabrics because the nearby Wal-Mart is too much competition for them.
