Not Ranked. Helpful AND tactful post? : 0 Is is even possibe to remove it? I scraped off all I could while it was still damp, then washed the fleece. It is still there. grrrr. Tried scraping again, but it won't budge. Has anyone found a way that works? Only one of my 4 boars has left this on the fleece, thank goodness, but it is a real pain. Also since it won't come off, can I use the fleece in a cage with different boars? Will they still be able to smell it and maybe react to it? I really hate to throw it away, but it looks bad, especially on my solid red fleece. Constantly replacing it can get expensive too, after a while. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

Good luck! I have to keep replacing my boars' sow scented.. er.. buddies because they get all rock solid and grungy not matter how much I wash them. Good news is that it seems to lose it's scent after you wash it. My boars don't seem to notice if the other's washed stuff is on their fleece or toys. I sure notice though |

I would actually go to the store and in the laundry section find some de-greaser and see what happens. Let me know I will need it too! I wsa brushing Doolittle today and found his boar grease on the very end of his hiney!! It is sticky like taffy! Added: Maybe the auto parts store for GoJo!!! |

Alright, forgive my ignorance, but do the neutered boars have this problem too? Or only the ones that aren't altered? |

Neutered boars still ejaculate, but I don't know that it stains the fleece as badly. I have never had a problem on my fleece. |

I didn't have a problem with this either until today, and it is from just one of my four boars. None of them have been neutered. dafts, I tried a jack hammer this afternoon. It didn't work either. LOL |

I am positive they ejaculate because it gets on my girls. When I first saw it I PMed Teresa in a panic and she reassured me they still ejaculate, they are just not live sperm. I am not a vet so I can't tell you exactly how that works. |

I bathed Doolittle today and while drying him I found the boar grease. It wsa one spot at the end of his rump. Only a dab of it. I know we are talking about glue. Got it straight finally! anyhow I think I will try the dawn thing and see what happens. His entire coat is greasy and now I think it may be from boar grease. His previous owner didn't know to look for this and I actually stumbled upon it so who knows. Dawn is now on my list. His rump hair is all separated and not nice and soft. |

Well, it sounds like that stuff works better than crazy glue. Hmmm? Just kidding. Wish I could help ya but I only have girls. Good luck. Hopefully, you'll be able to get it out with something. |
