    Hi from Australia :D

    Hi All

I'm a new Cavy carer in Perth, WA. Was interested in hearing from other Aussies who have or are thinking of making C&C Cavy Cages.

You're welcome to visit my site: groups.msn.com/N1shellsCavyHaven

I've only got a C&C Cavy Cage in the making so far (Plans are on the site!) but hopefully soon will have pics of the real thing

    thx...

    AUSSIE AUSSIE AUSSIe!

    HELLO

I'm from Sydney and just found this site a couple of days ago. I'm thinking of getting cavies soon! I want to build a c&c cage and going out to bunnings to see if they have the cubes.

I found a good aquarium set up on ebay that someone is selling here in Sydney. It's going cheap and will save me enough money to get cavies as well . I love animals but find I have no PETS!! This has to change .

I'll keep you posted on how it goes!

    Re: :(

    Hi Crazy

Good to hear from you! Please don't get an aquarium for your piggies to be! They dont have enough air circulation & unless you clean every day it can be detrimental to their health!

Mine are only babies & I'm just using a converted bird cage for the moment (until I move & can make them a C&C cage).

Hmm... I havn't found anywhere that sells grids yet either :S But that's not surprising as I'm in a little country town! When I'm actually in Perth in a couple weeks I'm going to go hunting for them

I have been looking on the net too & if I can't find any anywhere I'll just order some in! There's got to be somewhere that has them or can order some in! I'll let you know how I go Good luck!

I've just scanned some pics of my babies & posted them on my site... groups.msn.com/N1shell'sCavyCages If anyone is interested in seeing my little darlings

    Shell, Cailin, Chet, & Dylan

Not in Australia! Indoor piggies are the exception here... everyone I know are amazed to hear that my pigs are inside with me.

Hi Louis I made mine like 18mths ago so I'm not sure where you would get it now. the coroplast was real easy to find... just look up "sign shop" & you will find a few that sell coroplast

The cubes are the hard part. I got mine from 2 bunnings stores & they said they were old stock from BBC hardware stock before they took over & they were just selling them off. So sorry I ant help you there

In Australia, Coroplast is called Cornflute also.

Big W stocks the grids' and it's alot cheaper than the bunning's one's.
    Bunnings= 5 grids for $8.00
    Big W = 16 or 17 (I forget) for $11.00 apx.
