Female Peruvian for adoption in Louisiana

I was given a female Peruvian at this pet store. I simply inquired about her because she was the only one alone in a very tiny wire bottomed cage. Angie was supposed to be for this autistic boy who set his home on fire and killed his last guinea pig. She was supposed to be claimed 2 months ago but they never came. She looks to be at least 1 years old and is very tame and sits still when I hold her. She was really matted in the back and I gave her a bath and I had to trim a lot of her hair off because it was overly knotty and full of gunk. When I first saw her she was sitting on top of her pigloo to get out of the cardboard pieces of things that made up her bedding. I also suppose it was uncomfortable. I took her because I felt really bad for her and I was told she had a litter a long time ago. The lady wasn't very informative. They had lots of chinchillas breeding back there and a huge boar piggy that made their babies. I have room for her now in a 2x2 cc cage but I would rather see her go to a nice home where she can be given more attention whereas I already have 5 babies to take care of.

I live in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and I can drive to New Orleans if anyone there wants her. Uhm anywhere else can be worked out I guess.

I'll see if I can butter up the hubby and see if there is a way I can make my cage bigger or fit a second cage anywhere. I guess If I put her in a second cage I would have to get her a buddy too. That Reese at the SPCA sure is cute and she would probably make a great pal.

oh shes mostly brown haired and that color you see on her belly she has half of her bum in that color as well. I know she needs a really good home, she attacked the hay I gave her like she had never had any before and as well as the carrot pieces I gave her. Im amazed at how soft she is for the lack of care they gave her. She really needs someones extra loving attention.

You don't understand the delicate situation I have here. One more animal and my Hubby just might move out. Of course that means I would be able to fit even more in......

No no no...must keep the hubby. I'm working on him. This idea has to be introduced gradually or he might FREAK RIGHT OUT!

On a sad note Louisiana is being overrun with homeless GPs. 5 more just showed up at the N.O. SPCA. I'm hoping to go in tomorrow to take pictures. The 5 new ones all have either ringworm or mites.

Oh I wasn't trying to force her spefically on you to take her, voodoo. Just trying to put up more pictures and lure someone to love her. I wish I could keep her and take more piggies in my home, but I just don't have the space. Id rather you be happy than take her and end up contorting your life to something you arn't 100% pleased with. I know someone will want her. Is there anywhere else that I could maybe post her so that someone else will want to adopt her?

btw she isnt tiny. my other piggies are one handers. shes a hefty two handed grab.

I really do want her. I just gotta convince hubby and figure out the cage thing. If it becomes an emergency situation where she has to go let me know.

Meanwhile I'm going out in the morn to buy a bale of hay for the SPCA pigs. I have also made them a bunch of toilet paper tubes stuffed with hay to play with and printed up a bunch of GL care pamphlets. I think I'm also going to pick them up some veggies. While they have the pigs I'm gonna see if they want me to volunteer to come in, clean their cages and feed them/provide hay veggies.

But please keep the photos of that cute GP coming. If you put up a picture of her with a spiked collar I betcha my hubby would cave on her and she'd be mine...but he'd probably want to name her Pigzilla or something like that.

Blerg I was sans internet for a few days. Angie is still looken for a home. Please consider taking her and loving her for me because I dont have the space for her permanently.
