Western IL - Eastern IA long haired female piggie?

We NEED (really we do 8-)) a baby female long haired piggie from a rescue or shelter to hang out with our lone adult peruvian female (store bought yada yada before I had a clue told us she was only 3-4 months old in April however she's full grown and weighs almost 3lbs. Anywhere in the Quad Cities or surrounding area would be great.

Anyway, we want a female baby to keep her company. We love to brush and would like another long haired friend. I really want a baby since I'm not sure how old Cinnamon really is to do the whole younger/older thing. Please help us out if you know of any available.

Have you checked www.petfinder.com, www.cavyrescue.com, www.petharbor.com and the guinealynx placement forums?

I have. The only rescue I've found in IL through those sites will not adopt out to non-local people, and I'm about 3 hours away. All the darned Humane Societies around here have boys on petfinder. There are a couple girls at one, but they are older, and not knowing the age of our current pig, I'm leary. I haven't registered on guinealynx yet... I'll try that next.

I've never had [roblems introducing girls of any age to one another, and do so all the time with the rescue. Good luck!

Yeah, Iowa is scarce as far as rescues go. You may have to be patient, but keep checking PetFinder and hopefully a girl will pop up eventually!

This may be a bit of a drive, but Jefferson WI Humane Society has a long-haired female. She's been listed for awhile.
