The Gentleman that I got my 6 Cavys from still has at least 8 pigs he needs to find homes for. He allowed me to post his (wifes) e-mail. Alisa.Grimes@insightBB.com You can also reach Steve at (270) 320-8063 The cavys are free to good homes, he will test your knowledge somewhat.

I told him that as well. He said that is why he asks a lot of questions to make sure that they will not end up as snake food. He gave the six cavys to me for free because he figured out that I did not want them for food as I was allready in the store buying carefresh and other items for my petrats. I am not sure he will let other folks have them for free but thats what he told me. Either way even if he would take money for them you are never 100% sure that the folks buying them will not use them as food thats just a sad reality. Yes, the cavys are his pets. He has a few male and females. Teh cavys he is needing to find homes for are their offspring not because he was breeding but because his son had put a male in teh females cage by accident. He seemed like a very responsible guy and asked me a lot about what I would feed them, use for bedding, housing and so on.

Re: 8 pigs available in Bowling Green KY My concern is that some people may lie just to get snake food. You can never be too careful.

Re: 8 pigs available in Bowling Green KY As long as he's not advertising in the paper or posting fliers it may be okay. I have never charged people for rescues I place with them. In the few ads/fliers I placed I stated that there was an adoption fee, but waived it once I knew I had a good home lined up. Believe me, lurking in petshops and stealing potential customers (that didn't know small animal rescues existed) can be a great way to place animals. You tend not to get the impulse buyers as they want the pet NOW! Instead you get the animal lovers that really want to help and love and animal.
