Re: Rabbit NEEDS a home

Thank you again. He just bite and scratches sooo much, I felt it was the only way I could trim his 2 inch long nails.

Re: Rabbit NEEDS a home

I hope that the neuter settles his bunnitude down. It's tragic that his strong personality is getting in the way of a home.

Re: Rabbit NEEDS a home

No one believes he is a changed bun! He rarely bites anymore. I have to tell potential adopters that he does that. It wouldnt be right to not, but it just makes people wary and they dont want him.
I think I will just ship him down to you voodoo

Re: Rabbit NEEDS a home

I'd love a little bunnitude hoping around the house, but with a dog, two cats, a hamster, almost two guinea pigs, and soon to be a fish, I think my family would divorce me. I KNOW my oldest cat would!

Re: Rabbit NEEDS a home

To quote my vet when I had similar problems with a bun:
"bring him in, and we'll lop them off"

£11 per testicle - best money I ever spent! I swear the rabbits never even noticed, and they were so much nicer afterwards.

(I never asked why they charge per testicle, not per rabbit!)

Re: Rabbit NEEDS a home

I want him... The only thing is, i have several questions (i'm just asking these questions so i can persuade my dad to let me get a bunny) 1. Do you think he'd get along with 3 unspayed female guinea pigs? 2. How often does he bite? 3. How would we ship him down here? Thanks!

Re: Rabbit NEEDS a home

My dad says he doesn't want another rabbit because all of ours were mean and bit CONSTANTLY. no matter how hard we tried to train them, or handle them. And he says they live to long. But I think if i com across the right bunny, i could persuade him otherwise. And I doubt he'd wanna travel far to get it.

Re: Rabbit NEEDS a home

Well, just to answer the questions anyway. He has had the occasional floor time (maybe twice) with my 4 pigs and ignores all of them except Brownie. Brownie is a 4 year old intact male with a huge dominance issue.
I have only been nipped once in the past 2 weeks. No mark was left either.
He is getting to be such a loving little boy. But I dont think there is anyway for me to take him that far to you and I wont send him through the mail. I unerstand your dad's issues with rabbits. If I hadnt had this one neutered, then I would still be looking up rabbit recipies (just kidding). He was awful and mean and just not a happy little creature. Maybe you can find a good little middle-aged bun in a shelter. That way you can see it in person and being middle aged would appeal to your dad (since he says they live too long).
