If I didn't have a "devil" of my own in my rabbit Patches I would take the little guy on. I love rabbits with bunnitude...alas I have no room for another indoor cage and Patches and Devil would probably rip each other up.

Two bunnitude rabbits rarely make good companions. I know because I've dealt with it in the past. I ended up with one rabbit getting torn up and getting abcesses...horrible stuff.

Shade of... The smart ones usually do have quite an attitude on them. They know that can get away with it.

I am sure they would. He doesnt strike me as the kind of rabbit who wants to share. If he ends up getting the funds to be neutered and his attitude changes, I will let you know. By the way Slap_Max should be mailing Deacon Jr. to me today. Yay! I showed the pictures of him to the rescue where he came from and she loved it too. Said that she needed to get some of her own.

What a lovely looking little bun!
Pity I am in the UK as I will soon be looking for a home for my recently spayed rescue Lionhead rabbit, Barley.
Good luck finding a very special place for him.
Just a thought, but if you can manage to get him neutered, it will probably be easier to rehome him. If you have a local animal rescue, they may be able to help with neutering costs or a discount with their vet.

I am technically fostering him for a rescue now. They are looking into getting neutered. No news yet.

The Devil has improved drastically with Amanda's correct handling over the past week or so. He has become a much sweeter bun.

The Devil is getting neutered today! Hope that helps his attitude. It will be easier to find him a home if he isn't so mean.

We are home from the vet. Devil is doing fine, obviously a bit upset. I never asked the vet about the fasting because you,another rabbit person, and slap told me otherwise. He didnt have any complications during surgery, lets just wait to see if he doesnt get infected. I cant wait to see how this affects his personality!

Bless him, he looks very cosy lying there. I had my little doe neutered a few weeks ago and she recovered really well.
Hw is he doing now?

He is eating and drinking as normal, but he really seems withdrawn. I cant get him to come up to me anymore. He just hides in the back of his cage.

Buns can be mad at you, hiding and giving you their butts until they forgive you. Hopefully he will change. Too bad you could not keep him at all. I would take him in a heartbeat if we did not have all those cages to keep the boy guinea pigs sepparated and no space since we got SweetPea. She is in a 2x6 cage the biggest cage in our critter room. Good luck finding him a great home. I am sure someone will take him. I is just too cute.

There is a potential adopter for Devil!!!!! I am so excited. I have to get in touch with her and ask a ton of questions. Wish him luck. Wow, I am getting sad now. I didnt figure he would really find another home with his bad attitude.

There are other nutcases out there like me that adore bad attitude bunnies. Like I said, I would take him myself if I thought there was a good chance he and my bad bunny Patches would get along...but I'm pretty sure they wouldn't. Patches may get along with a bad attitude female but I think he and Devil would try to kill each other.

It always breaks my heart when a bunny needs a home, or any other animal for that matter. I found reading these posts quite a joy, seeing the concern of so many and the updated posts from his caregiver.

I laughed seeing the bunny in the trance while getting his nails clipped, so cute. But if I may make one suggestion, please be careful when you put a bunny into a trance. It is a defense reflex, to appear that they are dead and a bunny's heart almost slows to a stop. So you need to wake them back up gently as it is supposed to take a few minutes for his heart to get back up to its full beat.

Otherwise it looks like this precious baby is being well care for.
