Looking to adopt, Pittsburgh, PA

After the death of our new guinea pig last week we are looking to adopt a new friend for Muffin... We were going to go to the pet store but figured it would make more sense to adopt one..

Anyone know of any GP available for adoption in Pittsburgh PA area I'd be grateful...

You may have to drive a bit. I had to go two hours each way to adopt the piggy I wanted. Sme people go further. Even though its out of state, it may not be that bad of a drive.

Re: Looking to adopt, Pittsburgh, PA

Hopefully this works. There's a young female in New Wilmington.

How far are you from Ohio? They might be able to meet you.

I'm getting a little partial to "baby" at our local human society.. ( in petfinders.com) she looks just like my other GP... Kids too fell in love with her... I've inquired via e-mail.

My only concern is that she's 3 years old & I'd like to have her for a while...

Guinea pigs, if properly taken care of, can live 6-7, sometimes even 8 years. If she is 3 years old, she has another 3-5 good years to live out in a nice, forever home.

Just type in PA for state. You'll get more hits. Try www.petharbor.com and www.cavyrescue.com classifieds.

Re: Looking to adopt, Pittsburgh, PA

Hey are you looking for a male or female. My friend is a volunteer at a ARL. She helps rehome many guinea pigs. I think she has a female that needs a home. Please email me so I know. I will email my friend once you email me. I am from pittsburgh too. What part are you in.
