I have 2 Males that need to leave ASAP!

URGENT: I CAN NOT KEEP THEM FOR HEALTH REASONS-must be gone in a week- if not i have no choice but to let them go- please help so i am not put in that position


will seperate if you like but these two male have been pals from a very young age

they are sweet and i would imagin they would be very good with kids as they do not bite and nugget is not very shy ( mexican might run and hide though)

i have a custum cage that will fit in a corner as well as a water bottle, food bowl and 2 huts of you would like. i also have some extra cage if wou want to add an adition i also have a lot of bedding left over too.

This is a situation where everyone should be up in arms - it sounds like this woman is going to let these little critters loose if someone doesn't adopt them. I hope I misread her posting and if I did I am thrilled. If I didn't and she lets them go God only knows what will happen to them outside.

Please don't let them loose outside - I am sure you don't want any harm to come to them. Here is a website for a shelter in the Chicago area that is a no kill shelter and they take guinea pigs - www.furryfriendsfoundation.com.

sorry i was not more clear, if i do not adopt them to someone in the next week, i will let them go to a shelter, i would never let them go outside. i have had them for years and i have had them up on this adoption page 3 times to no avail.

Hi Jim:

I'm sorry on both accounts - you didn't sign your name and I made the wrong assumption. Also, when you said you would let them go you didn't mention to a shelter, so I jumped to conclusions. I have heard where people have let go Guinea pigs and pet rodents outside when they no longer want them. I have so relieved to hear you won't do that.

Again, I apologize.
I feel bad you haven't been able to adopt them out, but if you can give them to a do not kill shelter at least you would know they will find a home eventually. Also, stress to whomever that they need to stay together. I am sure separating them would make them very unhappy.

Jim, most people coming to these pages already have pigs or have a pig in mind. A better bet would be craigslist (although please PLEASE be sure to investigate and meet anyone before adopting to them), or contacting a local rescue.
