Hello, Im really trying my hardest to find a rescue that has guinea pigs in need of a good home, but as having quite a bit of difficulty. Are there any good online sites? I have tried the SPCA website, where you can do an online search, but there are barely any guinea pigs in my area, and the ones that are on there get adopted within a day, which is probably a good thing! So Im having quite a bit of difficulty, can anyone help? Thank you!       |

Pet adoption: Want a dog or cat? Adopt a pet on Petfinder They usually have all sorts of adoptable animals, and you may even find a shelter posting animals there! |

www.petfinder.com Your local humane societies or rescues ... Craigslist, Kijiji, Hoobly, GPAN, Guinea Lynx - Cavy Placement, your local newspaper ... You might also be able to call the vet clinics in your area, sometimes they know of animals being rehomed. eta - Pigloo, Guinea Pig Home ... |

Our local (Vermont) Craigslist has eight pigs looking for homes. Six in one household where a person has asthma and can't keep them. When I took the girls to the vet they had yet another picture on the bulletin board. You could put a "wanted" on Craigslist. Perhaps you'd find someone who'd see it and offer you their pigs. I was looking for accessories on Freecycle and was offered my two wonderful piggies. A family was no longer to keep them. They thought I was an angel for taking the girls, and I was so grateful to them for doing the right thing and giving up the animals they could no longer care for properly. |

Great Question, I'm looking for adoption places around me except I went on PEtfinder and there weren't many in my area. |

Call or go in person to your local animal shelter. Often it is hard for them to keep the websites up to date esp. now with low funding these times. |
