I'm looking to adopt a guinea pig in Ireland.
I cant find any guinea pigs recuses in Ireland except in the North and I cant travel that far and they dont have any guinea pigs at the moment.
I know not many people here live in Ireland so even a friend or a family member.
My girl guinea pig is very lonely.

Patience is key. Did you try any regular shelters that you have in your area? you could consider leaving your name and number with them in case anyone turns over any cavies. A sort of waiting list thing. You could also try checking pet stores to see if the guinea pigs are taken care of and if they aren't (or if you can make a case out of their situation) you can notify what ever animal enforcement agency you have in your area and tell them that once they confiscate the animals you might be able to provide a home for some of them (adopt).

There is only one guineapig rescue in ireland but it closed down in the summer. Go to pets ireland.com Registar and post an advert. Aisling and becky from limrick rescue(over 300 miles away )contacted me within 24 hours and they have a little boy for me. He is being snipped on wednesday. Fee 45euro because of the op.I had been looking for a long time. None of the rescures had piggies. Best of luck in your hunt.They will bring a pig to you if they have one so no need to drive to the other side of the country. Becky does home checks also.
