Our female, Honey, came into our home on September 11th. She is estimated to be about a year old (9 months a the very least). She is our first piggie and we are quickly learning what we are doing wrong, what we are doing right, and how much we LOVE piggies!!
What we are doing wrong -
She is an only piggie.
Her cage is too small (store bought).
We were giving her store bought treats and "seed sticks".
SO - I took out all the treats and sticks this morning.
- We are planning to purchase a 2x4 (2x5 if the man of the house has his way) C&C VERY soon.
- We want to get her a friend, possibly 2, but we are wondering when is the right time? We are also wondering if we should introduce older or younger piggies. Should they all be female, or can we add a nuetered male??
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!! Also, if there are any piggies that fit the bill that need new homes, our arms are open
