Not Ranked. Helpful AND tactful post? : 0
I have 3 baby guinea pigs that were born on June 27, 2009. Vet says that they are all girls and doing great. We are looking to get them all new homes. We are in the St Louis metro area. I have pictures of them...just email me at [email removed by moderator, please do not post your email address in a thread as it only invites spam]. We aren't looking for any rehoming fees. We just want them to find good homes. Last edited by Ly&Pigs; 07-17-09 at 05:16 pm. Reason: Removing email address |

It's best to ask a small adoption fee which you can donate to a charity if you wish. Free guinea pigs are more at risk for snake food and by animal abusers. People tend to take pets they actually pay for more seriously than free pets. |

Please do charge an adoption fee, even if it's minimal of say $15-20 per pig. It helps ensure that they will get a good home. Also ask questions of potential adopters. Did you miss this excerpt at the top of the Adoptables Section: Please do not say or post anywhere "Free to good home." That is open invitation to bunchers and snake owners. Trust me, you will not be able to tell who they are. They are professionals at telling you what you want to hear in order to obtain your animals for nefarious reasons. Saying there is no rehoming fees is the same as free to good home. So please add a post with an adoption fee, otherwise I will end up having to remove your post. |

Ugh! I live right by you but my mom won't let me get any more guinea pigs! I hope they find good homes! |
