Looking for one or two piggies in Nashville or Clarksville area

I would like to adopt one or two guinea pigs - this will be our first, but I have been researching and reading (on this site and books) and will be building a 4x2 grid C&C cage in the next couple of weeks (I found a local source for coroplast yesterday). I think we'd really like to have a pair of piggies so they will have constant companionship, but are open to starting with one.

I am a homeschooling mom so we are home much of the time and will be able to give the piggies attention and playtime. I've been looking on petfinder.com and other search sites and have not been finding anything in this area - we live in Dickson, about 30 miles west of Nashville, TN (and about the same distance from Clarksville so that would work as well).

I realize some people might not feel comfortable adopting out to someone brand new to guinea pigs, but we'd really rather find our piggies through adoption than a pet store, so please consider us!

Two females (named Hermione and Ginny by my 9 year old daughter - we're reading the Harry Potter books together right now!). They're from a person, not a rescue or shelter. I don't know how old they are other than "less than a year" (definitely not babies, though). Hermione is larger than Ginny, but neither seem quite full grown yet. They're sweet and we're enjoying them!

Awesome, I'm glad things worked out for you.
I'm a big fan of Harry Potter so I of course love their names.
Congrats again and have fun with them!
