Hi Everyone, We have two cute guinea pigs that need a new home because we could not take good care of them. We currently have four pigs in total, and we found we couldn't take good care of every one of them, so for the two that we adopted later, we hope to find a good home for them. Although we can still satisfy their basic needs, like food, water, and a clean C&C cage at the moment, we hope someone else could provide them more love, such as petting them more often. If you are willing to provide them more love, we would be glad to give you their 2*4 C&C cage, fleece, food dishes, and water bottle. A small adoption fee, $30, is required just to make sure someone takes adoption seriously. More information about the pigs: 1. They are females, about one years old. 2. They were adopted from Wisconsin Humane Society about two months ago, and they have got their physical examination right after adoption. The vet said they are both healthy. 3. They are located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Please let me know if you are interested in adopting them or if you have any questions about adopting them. We love guinea pigs a lot, but we just think every pig deserves the same amount of love. We currently have too many so we really hope the two of them can go to a home that will love them full-heartedly. Thanks for reading this post! |

I still couldn't find a good home for them. I really hope that they can get the attention they deserve, so anyone in the greater Milwaukee area, if interested in adopting them, please let me know. Thanks! |

They are beautiful girls! I'm in the "greater Milwaukee area" most of the year, but I'm at my limit with 5 pigs. I hope you find them a wonderful home soon though. |

Did you contact the shelter you adopted them from? Usually they will take them back per an adoption contract you signed. Is it a no kill shelter? Or your local gp rescue will usually do a courtesy listing for you. |

Anyway, the purpose for the adoption is just to make sure that their quality of life is enhanced. Thanks for the comments/suggestions |

Does your adoption contract require you to return them to the humane society or have the new adopters be approved by them? That is the way it is with the local spca here. It is good that you are trying to find them good homes. They are very adorable. |

Yes, the contract does require us to return them to the humane society if we couldn't provide them proper care. It does not say that the adopter needs to be aproved by the humane society. I'd feel bad if I send them back to the humane society because I know the quality of care they will receive there. I just hope someone could love them more than I do. If my post here is really illegal or inappropriate, please let me know. Thanks! |

Just be careful placing them on your own. I know of a few people who have been stung by doing that, meaning legal charges had been filed. Usually the shelter/rescue will win and one rescue I know did win a considerable amount. |

I don't think your post is illegal or inappropriate but you should honor the contract that you signed. When you find a home you think is appropriate, have them meet you at the humane society. You relinquish ownership to the humane society and they are there to adopt them then and there. You might even want them to get approved by the humane society before hand. This way you have honored your contract and kept your word, the guinea pigs go to a good home and the new owners have signed a binding contract with the humane society. Everyone benifits. |

not wanting to push, but can't you donate the supplies with the piggies? I know my area they are always willing to take whatever supplies they can get. I would be willing to get them, as I am out of a car at the moment, and you're a little toooooo far for me to drive. Best wishes. They are Beautiful!! |
