I am a volunteer at Yuba County Animal Care Services and we have two Guineas a momma and baby that were abuse cases. I will never understand some people. They were found in a big cage in the rain. They were huddled in the corner of the cage, there was a rat on bottom, baby guinea on top of the rat, momma on top of them both and a parakeet wedged in between them all trying to stay warm and dry. Momma and baby seem to be doing fine, but not sure what is going on with their skin. Hair is not thick and could have been the rat chewing on them but missing in some spots. I have been fostering them for about a week and they are doing much better. Were starving............I really would like to see them go to someone who knows how to turn situations like this around and not a family that has now clue on what they would need to start them healing..
I do not know if you are able to help us out or if you know of any rescue that could take them.
Thank You
