There are two new girl pigs at the shelter today, I was thinking of getting them. My cage size is 2x7 for the main area and the kitchen area is about 3x4 or 4x4. They are both under a year, I'm just worried my girls won't like them. They get along so well. Would my cage be big enough for 5 or 6? |

Hmm. I've never done this before but with my Guinea Pig Carly(Who I got from a pet store but...). They said she was 2 years old and Sandy was two years old and we asked the worker about them meeting each other(Of course, pet store workers usually know nothing) and she said "Probably not. They probably won't like each". Well, after joining this site, figured Carly was six months old! So I "Think" the younger they are, the better off you are but don't forget about quarentiene. Here's a couple things you can do: 1: Ask any of the moderators 2: Or maybe go to the for sale thing and find Sue'sC&Ccages or whatever and ask her. All the mods mostly would probably know and you would probably be better off asking one of them. |

I think that'd be plenty big enough. You want several food dishes and water bottles, and hideys though. |

I agree--that sounds like a good size. Read up on intros and have a plan in case they don't get along. |

I hope you don't mind but I asked the question and they said that it sounds big enough for 5 piggers. |

Here's the other thread asking the question, in case anybody's curious. |
