Want to Adopt: Yonkers Pig Needs A Buddy

My little Yui has been alone for a while. When I got her from the shelter, her previous owner had also dropped off a male, but that person was going to come back for him. ( I don't know if she's ever had babies or anything, and the two were caged seperatly. )

Yui has been a lone pig since August. My shelters don't have pigs at the moment, and many shelters I called told me to go to a pet store . As adorable as the pigs are there, I refuse to buy them.

Have you checked petfinder.com ?
You might also find piggies on craigslist.com . Here are some I found near NY, I hope they're not too far away for you.

Like Sealion said, if you haven't checked Petfinder.com you may want to because you never know, there could be a piggie up for adoption around you! You also might want to check Craigslist.com for any people who can't care for their guinea pig anymore or need to give it away to a good home for many other purposes.

I looked more on Petfinder and i saw some guinea pigs that are in Hawthorne, NJ but i'm not sure if that's too far away for you.

That first Craigslist link definitely is a breeder. I wouldn't go with them.

The second one looks great if you can verify the sex.

Be patient. Ask rescues if they help with transport and ask shelters to contact you directly if any pigs come in.
