Question Any piggies for adoption in NJ?
hi, I was wondering if anybody had any piggies for sale in NJ. I would like them to be female becuase I already have 2 females. I also will be willing to travel a little bit.

There are lots of piggies for adoption on www.petfinder.com. Check your local shelters too.

I know about petfinder and I have looked there and there are some appealing cavies that I am looking at, I just wanted to see if there were any private listings. I do not hae any shelters near me that have cavies.

I was wondering if you ever adopted your new pigs. I foster for Have a Heart in Florence NJ. I live in Northern NJ and two cute little girls that need adopting. They are sisters and are the sweetest little things.

Hi:

I'm not sure of their exact age since they were orignally turned into a shelter, but I don't think they are more than 4 or 5 months old.

You can see their picture on Have a Heart under the names of Gabby/Licorce.

Well, 4girls I sort of already got my new pig in febuary. This post is sort of old and the cavies I wanted left the shelter. Sorry, Queenie.

Anyway Licorice and Gabby will not be availible for adoption for another 2 months and by then I will preobally find a cavy.

No problem - just keep them in mind for future pigs or if you know anyone who is interested. I live in Northern NJ, but 3 of my pigs came from there which is how I got into fostering. Would have been easier for me if I did the fostering when I lived in Mt. Laurel.

But, they have so many others to choose from and I don't think Gabby/Licorce are pregnant. The waiting time is just a precaution, but If they don't start showing within the next week or so then it will be pretty definite they aren't.

It is possible there was already someone interested in adopting them. Also, I know the young lady who runs the rescue and she was away for a week last month. They were the gray ones - right? I thought they were adorable.
