Beau needs a friend in MN

I had a pig that recently died and am looking for a friend for my remaining boar. I prefer another boar, but will take a sow if she's spayed. I'm pretty sure Beau is a dominant pig because although he is only around 4 or 5 months, he was always rumblestrutting at the other pig.

If there's a pair that's bonded already, I could take that too. I give Beau my whole room plus, he's got a 2X3 cage that I'm working on expanding to a 2X5 or 2X6.

Let me know colors and/or show me the pics too.

Re: Beau needs a friend in MN

I have an update. I work at Petco (sadly, I need to get out) and had a customer that needed to find a home for their guinea pig. He was going to bring it in because our Petco adopts out small animals but we had no room so I told him I was looking for another piggie and asked him what the sex was. He said he needed to talk to his sister about since it was his nephew's and he'd have her call me back. She did and said that the pig was a girl and a fluffy tricolor. I told her to bring it in and I'd double check the sex because I needed a boy.

They brought her in today and thankfully it was a male. So I brought him home after work. He looks really healthy, his nails are just extremely long. I was going to ask more questions, but the sister didn't really know anything else about him so I guess I'll see if he eats his veggies tonight or not. He did start eating his Oxbow almost right away though, which is good because he only came with a carrier and a chew toy ball.

I'm thinking of maybe naming him Spook because he was born on Halloween and is a black, white, and orange abby. The name they gave him didn't really fit. It was a German name meaning messy.

I hope Beau will like his new buddy. It's been about 2 weeks since Zumie died and he's finally acting like himself and popcorning a little.

Re: Beau needs a friend in MN

I would post a pic but my camera has issues where sometimes it will download to the computer but most of the time chooses not to.

I'll also post pics of the other two.

I've decided on the name Happyfeet because even though he's still in his really small quaranteen cage, he acts really happy and chuts and dances around. He doesn't walk around, just pops in and out of his pigloo and stuff.

His quaranteen is up on Wednesday and I'm pretty sure the boys are excited about getting a new buddy. Beau is popcorning for no reason now or if he hears me talking to Happyfeet.
