Eleanor-birthday may 2, 2008. american guinea. usually pretty calm and likes to sleep in her huts alot. likes to snuggle.
these females all live together in my 2x5 c&c cage. they get along amazingly together. they were all bought from pet stores so i just made up their birthdays based on their size, weight, and general attitudes. they have all been seen by vets. Phoebe was tested and cured of an URI and Eleanor was tested and cured for a bowel disorder. they have fleece bedding, a hammock, 3 huts, 2 water bottles, 2 food bowls, and a litter pan where i also keep the hay. they usually do most of their peeing in the litter pan so i change it about every other day. i also use a hand help vacuum to clean up all the poops from the cage about once a day. you must wash the fleece and wash the towels i use underneath atleast once a week. i wash the towels in detergeant and use 2 cups of vinegar to wash the fleece. i give them small baths about once a month in the tub with some small animal shampoo and also clip their nails. about once a week i use a water-less shampoo and squirt them a few times and brush them so they don't shed too much and smell nice. i use vinegar mixed with water to clean their cage and bowls etc every week. they have a large outdoor play pen. some treats. an extra hammock. two cuddle cups. extra fleece. extra choroplast and cubes to make the cage larger if needed. they love carrotts and lettuce. they get along with my dogs as well. i have full body diaper suits that i bought them but they always fall off!! they don't like them very much. everything i've mentioned here is all included if you would like my four precious guinea pigs! also, i have two large containers that i store my timothy hay and pellets in. as well as the aspen bedding and carefresh bedding. i put half carefresh half aspen in the litter pan. it works very well and it doesn't smell AT ALL. i've tested tons of different ways and this works the best. all of that stuff will be included with the guinea pigs as well. if anyone would like to talk about them some more, or would like to see pictures of their cage and the guineas, please email me at
