Craigslist How do I search craigs list? I can not find guinea pigs on there at all. I assume I am doing something wrong.

Re: Craigslist It's under "community" in the "pets" link. I was looking for a while in "for sale" and "free" where there is an occasional animal, but most get (properly) put uner "pets".

Re: Craigslist I search under "pets" and "for sale/wanted" To search "pets" there will be a section with the heading of "community" and in there will say "pets" when you click it, it will have the search bar at the top. Or you can also go to the search bar at the left of the page and type in what you want, and before you hit enter click the drop down below it, and choose community. It will search through the pets section. To search "for sale/wanted" go to the left hand search bar, type in what you want, and then again on the drop down, select "for sale" then of course hit enter

| Re: Craigslist I've noticed that at least in my area, guinea pig ads on CL come in waves. There will be weeks where there aren't any and then all of a sudden there is at least one ad in each location of my state all at once. If you don't see any for a little while, just keep checking. One (or more) are bound to show up! There is also a search function on the left hand side and in the drop down menu you can choose either "community" or "for sale". Pets aren't supposed to be *sold* on CL but I just searched that section in my area and they come up, but in the "general" or "free stuff" subsection Last edited by fieryone : 10-15-08 at 09:43 pm. | Re: Craigslist Okay sounds good. I am not in a hurry anyway. My female piggy is all alone, since we seperated her from her 2 babies, which were boys. She was purchased at a pet store, which i know was very stupid and careless of me now that I found this site. She of course was pregnant, which we didn't know until we went to clean her pen one morning and were greeted by the babies. So now the babies are in my daughters room in a huge alternative cage and poor Tess is in a 4'X4' alternative all by her lonesome in the computer room. We give her a lot of attention, but I know she needs a buddy for when we are not around. I am a little paranoid that i didn't seperate the babies quick enough and she will surprise us again with more some morning. She has been seperated for 6 weeks so far, and I did seperate her at 21 days just as everyone told me, but I don't want to get her a friend until I am 100% sure no more babies are on the way. I am going to look into both craigslist and rescues/shelters. If I chose craigslist, I will be posting the add here to see if everyone thinks it is a legitimate ad before I take any action. Thanks again for your help with this and for all the information I have learned on here. I have learned so many things I did not know, and I know how much more rewarding it will be to rescue this time around, although I love my other piggies so very much. |

Re: Craigslist I go to the main page and search for "guinea pig" under "for sale." This will bring up all categories. I’ve seen guinea pigs listed in "farm/garden" and "garage & moving sales" not just the pet section.
