Is it inappropriate to call a vet to find out if they know anyone rehoming a guinea pig?       |

I don't see a problem with that. Especially if you live in a small community it's sometimes hard to find a rescue. There are no rescues that take in guinea pigs where I live. The rescues/shelter here only take in dogs and cats. I have called all of them. |

Thanks! I live in a small community where the nearest rescue is about 3 hours away so that's good news! |

I hear you on that. By contacting the vet you can help out your own community when theres a piggy that needs a home. |
