Two Pairs of Pigs Need New Homes

Heartbroken.

In the next few months I am going to have to go into hospital for an extensive period of time, and my pigs are going to need new homes as I don't have anyone to care for them in my stead.

I have two pairs, and am only willing to adopt them all out together on the condition that the pairs are kept separate. I can adopt the pairs out separately, obviously.

Pair #1: Cookie and Heidi.
- Female and neutered male
- Heidi 10 months, Cookie 9 months approx
- Heidi: Fawn American crested, brown eyes, looks like she has a mohawk
- Cookie: tri-colour non-crested, brown eyes
- Cookie can be aggressive towards other pigs except Heidi, who he adores.
- Heidi has been known to chirp from time to time
- Both love their floor time
- Neither likes to be picked up, but love laptime. Cookie likes to lick your fingers.

Pair #2: Bill and Ben
- Two intact males
- Both 8 months approx
- Ben: Chocolate (dark brown with lighter brown hair tips) English crested, brown eyes
- Bill: White long-haired crested pig with grey patch behind right ear, red eyes
- Bill is the more dominant pig, but is very affectionate towards Ben
- Ben is very timid and spends most of his time hiding, but is also very vocal when food is on the cards
- Same with C+H, love floor time, not too fond of being picked up, but will sit happily during laptime

None have any long-term medical problems. They are fed on Excel Supa Guinea pellets.

I have nearly 60 grids that the adopter is more than welcome to, though only one set of connectors (I use cable ties for the most part). I also have water bottles, pigloos, plastic kid's footstools, and tunnels. They love chewing willow bark. They are kept on fleece, and you're more than welcome to all of their blankets. I think I have about six or eight. I don't have any correx. I use waterproof sheeting instead.

I live in Belfast, Northern Ireland, but I'm willing to drive anywhere in the UK and Ireland to see that the pigs get good homes.

I am absolutely devastated. If anyone thinks they can help, please PM me. They don't have to be rehomed until June at the latest, but I'm willing to let them go any time from now. Please don't criticize me. This is beyond my control.

Thank you.

Aw. I'm so sorry. How long will you be in the hospital? Do you think thatmaybe you could have someone just babysitt your piggies for an extensive period of time?? Well, good luck with finding very good homes. Cookie and Heidi sound so adorable.

Oh, that's fantastic! I'm so happy for you!
Remember, keep fighting because you have four squealing faces to look forward to once your hospital stay is through!
