Not Ranked. Helpful AND tactful post? : 0 It's breaking my heart to think this, but I need to rehome my pigs. I have not been able lately to give them all the care and attention they deserve. I have two bonded pairs of females: Madison and Michigan I got about 15 months ago from a pet store, and Remmy and Winny, who I got from a shelter about 7 months ago. Madison and Michigan are sisters, and Remmy and Winny are mother daughter. They have been living all together for a while now, but they've always stuck to their pairs mostly. None of them are spayed. I currently live in a kind of remote area in the upper peninsula of Michigan. I'm definitely willing to travel a bit to rehome them. I have tried to rehome them here, but every time I start to mention all the details that go into properly caring for the pigs, I can tell that most people aren't going to put in the effort. That's why I would like to try here, because I know most people here understand what it takes to take good care of cavies. I want them to be well taken care of. I've got some supplies also that I can give with the pigs, including Oxbow timothy pellets, some Oxbow timothy hay, many grids/connectors/zipties. Right now the girls are a in a 2x6 C&C cage, so the coroplast from that could also go if you wanted it. Also I have 3 water bottles, a food dish, and a small cage (pet store cage - I used it as a travel cage). If I end up rehoming in pairs then I'll try to split the supplies 50/50, if you want them. More about the pigs - Madison (light tan) and Michigan (brown) are American crested: ![]() Remmy has long beautiful hair: ![]() And Winny's got long funky hair: ![]() Please if you can help or have a question either post a reply or send me a PM. Thanks. |

I hope you can find them a good home. They're definitely beautiful piggies. Good luck! |

If you were in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Ohio or maybe even Indiana/Illinois I could probably get there. |

Unless you are going to travel to Michigan and pick up the pigs, then safely transport them back to the Phillipines, you will not have these pigs. A loving owner, even if having to rehome pigs, will not ship them. |

How sad...I'm sorry this is happening for you but I hope and I'm sure with how cute your piggies are some loving owner will come around and adopt them. |

I think most shelters require an adopter to return any pets to them if the adopter can no longer care for them. Is that the case in your situation? |
