Thumbs up Inland Empire (CA) Craigslist

Guinea Pigs - Free 2 good home

I've adopted a boar, my sister's taken a sow, and a friend is taking two boars.

There are still a few more left, including two baby (6 week?) boars.

Re: Inland Empire (CA) Craigslist

As of right now, there are two bonded sows and one boar left.

My sister-in-law adopted the baby boars.

Is this person a breeder? It sounds like they are.

Re: Inland Empire (CA) Craigslist

Eh. She's more of a hoarder/collector. She's had both accidental and intentional litters, it seems. One summer she had 22 babies. Regardless, her landlord is making her get down to two. She's keeping two boars and giving away the rest.

She's a smoker and they've been exposed to cigarette smoke all their lives. She knows some stuff about piggies but thinks she knows the rest of the stuff she doesn't actually know. We picked up two pairs of boars from her tonight and she gave us their small, tiny cages which will be in use for a few days until our friend and SIL can build larger cages for them. They all needed baths to help wash tar off their fur. :\

If anyone contacts her, please don't mention any of the things I've said. She'll be down to two boars when this is all over so there won't be any more breeding. All these piggies need better quality food, more space to play in, and a cleaner environment than they're in. I really hope the two boars she keeps will get more space when everyone else is gone, and I hope someone takes the sows so that there can't be any more accidental/intentional breeding.

Ughhh, I wish I had room to go get those girls. I feel so sorry for those pigs living in those conditions.

Re: Inland Empire (CA) Craigslist

Yeah, I've been trying to find people to take them, but nobody else is really interested.
