Re: Pigs who may be lethals needing homes

Awww he's adorable I hope he finds a good home I don't know anything about lethals so it wouldn't be a good idea for me to adopt him even though he's to far away. But Landhermie you are trying to get me to start posting links to piggers on petfinder aren't you I already did on another thread you started about the two boys in PA .

Re: Pigs who may be lethals needing homes

Just because a pig is white with pink eyes does not mean it's a lethal. There is absolutely no reason to think that these pigs are lethal. You really just do not know what you are talking about. There are lots of pigs that are white and have pink eyes and they are perfectly healthy. It's funny that you are so concerned about these pigs when your own are not being cared for properly, landhermie. Oh yes, I post here and on GL. Take care of your own before you go telling people incorrect information.

Re: Pigs who may be lethals needing homes

I realize that not all albinos are lethals. That is why I put "may," instead of "are." I read that the one is blind, so I thought that he may be a lethal. Someone from another forum said the other one may be, too.

EDIT: I notice that those links are the same. One should link to this guinea pig, the one that is blind:

Re: Pigs who may be lethals needing homes

It says right in the write-up that wooly is only slightly blind and is not a lethal. They are cute and it's nice of you to post them, but there is no need to try and create drama with everything.

Re: Pigs who may be lethals needing homes

That piggy looks as though it has dark pigmentation on its nose. If it does, it cannot be a lethal. I would tend to believe the write-up as he doesn't look like one.

It's a shame that conclusions are jumped to about PEWs - it's the reason why so many people dislike pink eyed pigs. People automatically assume that there's something wrong with their sight.

Re: Pigs who may be lethals needing homes

Wooly Bully looks like a PEW who has a bit of trouble with his eyes to me. He does look like he has a tiny bit of a dark smudge on his nose as well.

Tundra doesn't look to be a lethal at all, in my opinion.

Even if they are not lethals, they are perfectly adorable and deserve a good home.

I'm changing the title of this thread.

Re: PEWs need loving homes

Landhermie, not to be mean, but lets me honest, the last place you need to be looking at is Petfinder. You have enough pigs that are already not getting the vet attention that they deserve. You don't have your mom's support in caring for the pigs like they should be. The last thing you need is anymore animals. Please worry about your own pigs instead of ones that are being taken care at a rescue or a shelter. Those pigs, although not always an ideal situation, are at least getting vet care, or being put out of their misery instead of suffering a painful death until they pass.

Re: PEWs need loving homes

I'm not surprised, he was darned cute. I'm sorry I jumped all over you about it. The changed heading is good. What Weaver says has some truth in it. You won't be tempted if you don't look. It's hard though, isn't it? They are all so deserving of having a good home.

Re: PEWs need loving homes

Someone from another forum posted the PEWs. I usually go on Petfinder to post their links on other places. I am aware that I do not need another pig and am not tempted to get one.

I thought I saw some darkening around the edge of Tundra's ears too.

Do colored butts count? I sent one of the places an e-mail, and they said Wooly Bully had different colors on his butt
