NEED help, Texas

I posted a while ago about my 4 dogs needing homes. So far, out of all the sites and places I have put posters, and made boards, I have gotten no responces.

I take care of 8 dogs myself, with no help from my mother (even though SHE went out and breed our dogs while I pleaded for her to not do so.) I am overrun. They are all cared for very well, but I cannot continue caring for them. At least without help or support of some kind, and Im definatly not going to get it from my mother. Sorry this is kind of turning into a rant, but I NEED to find them homes, soon.

Keira and Jypsy are spayed females around 40lbs each. They are outside dogs, but need to have somewhere air-conditioned to go, since the Texas weather is so hot. They can either be adopted together, or separate.

Leo and Coloe are neutered males. They are brothers around 20lbs each. They are inside/outside and know how to use a doggydoor. They will need to be adopted together.

If you are interested in at all, you can respond here, or email me at wicked.pixi@yahoo.com If you live in Texas, and are able to spread the word to friends and family, it would be greatly appreciated. I will be making sure all homes are appropriate before giving them up, even though I am overrun, Im not going to let them go somewhere they wont be cared for properly.

Thanks VERY much for taking the time to read/respond to this.

Re: NEED help, Texas

Why would your mother breed them if she doesn't intend to care for them?

Re: NEED help, Texas

What breeds of dogs are they? Do you have pictures that you can post of them? Any information you can provide would be helpful.

As far as the breeding issue, I'm assuming that the decision was monetary.

Re: NEED help, Texas

No, she didn't breed them for money.. we still have the puppies, and she refuses to let me find homes for them, which is why I am forced to find homes for at least 2 of my rescue dogs.

Keira and Jyspy are are both approx. 5 years old, and really sweet. Both are female and spayed..

They both know a bunch of commands and tricks such as sit, lay down, bow, give paw.. etc.. They also behave when being walked on a leash.

Keira:

Jyspy:

Leo and Cole were both adopted from the same shelter as Keira and Jyspy, last year. They are brothers and they are both neutered. They get along well with other dogs for the most part. The only time they need to be separated is when it is time to eat. (sometimes)

They are pretty well behaved, but have a few things that need working on (sit, stay.. etc) They know how to do two tricks flawlessly (get in the chair- which is a kid chair that is theirs, and give paw) They are doggy door trained.

They are about 1 and 1/2 years old. They were born around Nov. 2005

Leo is the brown one and Cole is the black one..

Re: NEED help, Texas

Wouldn't you have an easier time placing the puppies, rather than older, full grown dogs? If your mom isn't the one caring for them, then why does she get to decide which dogs stay and which dogs go?

You said you're having to rehome your rescue dogs. Did they come from an actual rescue/shelter? If so, you need to check with those institutions because many of them have clauses in their contracts that state the animals must be returned to them in the event a rehome is needed.

Re: NEED help, Texas

We got them from the animal control. I refuse to bring them back there, they will almost certainly be put to sleep since they were already about to be put to sleep when we got them.

I would love to be able to find the two puppies a home, but mom refuses. If I cannot find a good home for at least 2 of my dogs within the month, I am going to start seeing if I can find homes for the puppies, regardless of what my mom has to say about it. Im sick and tired of her getting a say in the matter of what happens to the animals, when she does absolutely nothing to help care for them.
