Re: has anyone heard of this rescue? If you have room to keep it, I would recommend holding onto the cage unless the rescue is in desperate need of housing. Even though they're not good for permanent housing, a pet store cage can make a good quarantine, hospital, or travel cage if you find that you need one.

Re: has anyone heard of this rescue? thanks PM I do have a spare one I am keeping for emergencies and had this one advertised on the local online classifieds and they approached me for it.

Re: has anyone heard of this rescue? Naomi, I am not sure how much this helps, but I have heard of them before, although I am not sure how! I just know that I have somehow seen their webpage before, but I don't remember why. Myabe you could call your local SPCA and see if they've heard of them? Or just donate the stuff to the SPCA?

Re: has anyone heard of this rescue? SARS is awesome! I know several people on another forum who foster for them. I think someone here works with them too, but I forget her name. They take in all sorts of small animals- cavies, rabbits, gerbils, chinchillas, degus... Try contacting them and asking if they could use the cage. Otherwise, give it to a local Humane Society.

Re: has anyone heard of this rescue? a local rep came and picked up everything today, they were so grateful she says they are swamped right now. I gave her the cage, a degu sized wheel, a large plastic hidey tube and my 2 old suet holders that were made into hay racks
