| [FONT=Arial]i was reading petfinder.com and saw an animal shelter describe their guinea pigs like this. I though it was a bit disturbing and had to share for an opioin. They are great pets and do interect with their human friends !! Great for children Guinea pigs make great pets for children. At present there are 7 guinea pigs at the shelter waiting for homes.[/FONT] |

| Re: disturbing Yikes! I thought a shelter would know that children are not responcible enough to care for any animal, although they can enjoy them with proper supervision. |

| Re: disturbing I would read that to say that they are great pets to have with children, they are docile etc. etc. They are GREAT pets to have with Children. It does not say give your child this pet, leave them alone and see how well your child can take care of it. |

| Re: disturbing I don't think they mean it in that way.. I dunno. I think they still mean for the adult to be the main carer. |
