what i really want to know is, how do i "interview" a pig? and how do i introduce it to the female i already have and get them to live together?

Look in the adopton section then go to "adoptable pigs in MN" there is a rescuer that posts her pigs that are availible.

To all looking for pigs, look at www.cavyrescue.com classifieds and rescue listings, www.petfinder.com search and adoptables under classifieds. You can also search for a humane society around you on google. Good luck! Oh, and you should always have same-sex pairs. Breeding is horrible, as there are way too many homeless pigs already. Look here for info: www.cavyspirit.com/breeding.htm.

Re: If anyone needs help finding homes or finding guinea pigs...

Hi I have a sweet little girl guinea pig, that I ended up with by default. My former roommate bought her for her daughter and I ended up with her when they moved out. I bought her a nice big cage and I spoil her rotten. She gets green leaf lettuce and carrots every day and lots of timothy hay. But I don't pick her up and play with her or give her much attention besides talking to her and feeding her. She seems very happy and chirps and so forth. I try to give her outside time too (of course with the top of her cage placed on the grass). And she is in my den area and I try to be there whenever I am home if not sleeping or in the kitchen! Anyway, I want her to be a happy guinea pig and so I was wondering if there was any guinea pig lover out there who wanted another little girl. But you have to spoil her rotten and give her the best home with lots of room and maybe a guinea pig girl friend. Let me know!

Thanks!
Clarabelle

You are totally on the wrong forum and you are not looking for adoptees, you are looking for lab animals.

Not to be mean or anything but just to tell you this is not a breeder friendly forum. You should go to another forum. And why would you want to ship the poor little guinea pigs? That is just mean..........

Again, you are on the wrong forum. This is a rescue forum. You are not looking to "adopt" you are looking to buy guinea pigs for irresponsible breeding purposes. You will be banned.

Re: If anyone needs help finding homes or finding guinea pigs...

Before you leave please read

http://www.cavyspirit.com/breeding.htm

I used to be involved in rescue, how you dare try to recruit breeding stock from a rescue friendly forum. Have you not read anything on cavyspirit?www.cavyspirit.com

Please read and educate yourself before adding to the overcrowding and abuse already suffered by so many piggies.

To reply to the original post: I would love finding help finding a friend for Penny. She is a girl about 1yr so I would be looking for a girl or a neutered male. I would also be willing to take a pair. I am in the Baton Rouge, LA area. I've looked on petfinder.com but all of those listed were dead ends (thats where I found her in the first place though!). I've googled a little. I would prefer to not have to drive more than an hour or a bit more if possible. Thanks if anyone can help! Penny says: hurry im getting lonely with only a hamster to keep me company!
