Re: 6 piggies (nc/sc boader

How did you come about having these little guinea pig babies. Did you breed the female? Or did you buy them from the wonderful Petsmart in Charlotte, where the vet can't properly sex the guinea pigs?

Oh isn't that great. And what shelter did they come from? I want to make sure to let people know before I refer them there that they could get a pregnant pig.

Re: 6 piggies (nc/sc boader

Ok out on Billy Graham parkway area right?
There is a Petsmart there that the vet doesn't know how to properly sex guinea pigs so be careful if you use a Banfield vet. I had someone surrender a pig last year. She swore up and down it was female she even had vet records for the pig that said female and this was an adult pig there was no way to mistake the HUGE man parts. The person was shocked to say the least.
The other shelter spays their pigs. Are you asking an adoption fee? Please do so or they could end up in not so great hands.

Re: 6 piggies (nc/sc boader

Yes out on billy graham. Yes there is an adoption fee. I also am not letting the pigs go to just anyone. And the piggy will be delivered by me to it's new home so that I can make sure everything is the way that it is suppose to be. But that part they don't know yet. Because if I give them the list of items they need and how to make a c&c cage they will have to have it done or the piggy will not stay. I will not have them in anything other than a c&c cage they I have found out are the best.

Re: 6 piggies (nc/sc boader

Well I know it didn't take anything for me to get them here. But why just give them away and not care where they go. After all they are my little ones. I think of it this way. I would let someone baby sit a child that couldn't so why let someone have a piggy just because. So yes I have to make sure that they get good homes. Thanks for the offer to help. Looks like I might have homes for all but 2. And if we keep one that means that I would need to find a home for one.
