We are looking to place two healthy bonded female guinea pigs that are each 1 year old in a new home. We would love to keep them but my husband has developed allergies to them and we don't want to surrender them to a shelter. Please let us know if anyone is interested and we'll forward pictures, health info, etc. Thanks! |

What kind of bedding are you using in their cage ? Some people develope allergies to shavings or diffent types of bedding .You should try switching to a diffrent type of bedding for a week or so and see if that has any effect on your husbands allergies if not they it is probably the pigs . Maybe try fleece as an alternative . |

Also, are you sure it's not the hay? If there's any way to lessen the allergies and you can keep them, we're here to help. |

You're both right (and thanks). Unfortunately, we've already tried everything, and are using fleece now. The good news is, we thought to attach a picture for anyone who's interested. Wish us luck! |

They are so adorable. It's a shame that you can't keep them, but sometimes things are just out of our control. I'm sure they will find fabulous homes. |
