Not Ranked. Helpful AND tactful post? : 0 Hi everyone. With 30 in the rescue right now, i am at my max with critters, but after recieving the following email from Marci at Have a Heart gp rescue in NJ, I couldn't do nothing and let all of these pigs get euthanized in shelters. As of yet, i have not had to find foster homes because i have had enough room in the rescue to house all of the piggies. So, i have been looking for foster homes and have managed to find 4 so far that are willing to foster 8 pigs total. Hopefully i will get a few more fosters and have space to take about 10 or so of these poor neglected piggies in. Here is the email i got from Marci, which was sent to her from a shelter in PA: We recently rescued 50 - 70 guinea pigs from decrepid conditions, in a barn, in Schuylkill County PA. We are urgently looking for homes for these piggies. They are all friendly, and most are healthy. There are a lot of pregnant females, and tons and tons of boys. And piggies of all ages. they lived in a barn on top of 2 feet of their own feces, with barely enough water or food. We found dead ones, sick ones, babies, and everything. We are in desperate need of homes right now. Our shelter cannot support 70 guinea pigs. Please help us! I called Marci yesterday and she is bringing most of the piggies into her rescue. I will be bringing about 10 of the piggies into my rescue in a few weeks once i get back from vacation. Please, if anyone lives near Florence, NJ or Wallingford, PA please become a foster parent for some of these horrible mistreated piggies Grace Furry Friends GP Rescue |

Wow, there's been a lot of new piggies surrendered in this area lately. I'll try my hardest to foster some, we had a similar discussion last night, but my parents said no. I'll see what I can do. |

Just as a note, the thread "PA pigs are in need of deperate help" is referring to the same cruelty case as the one in this thread. Just to help unconfuse people Grace |

That's so wrong! At least now they have a chance for a better life. |

I can't believe anything lived there. It isn't fit even for insects. Any infection would surely turn into gangrene. That is just beyond sad. I'm at a loss for words. |

I'm at loss how someone can even do that? They deserve to live in the sewers to see how it feels. |

That is toatally discusting!! How can anyone even think anything should live in those conditions??? Poor babies, I am glad they have a better chance at being happy and loved now. I may be able to foster still, in a few weeks, though. Jami |

What a disgrace! I feel so bad for those pigs, makes me cry. I wished I didn't look at those pictures but I just had to see for myself how bad the conditions really were. IMO, they should make that guy live in that barn for a few years. |
